Snack Apple is made from fresh, crisp apple that is coated in a pure vegetable plant extract, sealing in all the natural flavour, fibre, vitamins and minerals.

The apples are peeled, cored, and cut into bite sized chunks. Many people have noted that whole apples can sit in fruit baskets for weeks without being eaten, but when they are peeled and cut up they are eaten much faster. This product means that you can snack on a piece or two at a time, knowing that the rest of the bag will be fresh when you return, with no waste.

Apples browning occurs in fruits and vegetables upon bruising, during handling and transportation, and when they are exposed to air in the cut or sliced state. Snack Apple has a refrigerated shelf life of fourteen days due tot he use of a natural coating, natural antioxidants and modified atmosphere packaging. In combination, this system will inhibit browning in refrigerated apple slices and negate the need for artificial preservatives.

Two popular varieties of apples, Pink Lady and Fuji, have proved particularly suitable for this new snack product which targets health conscious people everywhere, and is an excellent alternative to fatty snacks in school lunches and makes a healthy after-school snack.
